Just noticed listings today on ebay for 3 new plush smurfs. Normal, Papa & Smurfette. Just looked them up. They are made by a company called "NANCO". http://www.nancobos.com/ Looks like they make amusement park stuffed toys. Not for retail. Just looking at their catalog & you can see the smurfs http://nancobos.com/2010amusement/ Looks like the plush are available in different sizes. I think these toys would be found in arcade games like claw machines & amusement parks as prizes. Or like in Australia at the royal shows. That would be great.

Very interesting Brad, I like them, wish they were available over here. I used to be good at those grab machines in the arcades. Came home from the beach once with 11 prizes :)
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

well these are available in America. So I hope they export to arcade & royal shows in Australia too. I was only thinking & saying last weekend when I went to the cinema & afterwards my mate was trying to win toys from the claw machines that had current movie toys in. I thought I'll have to be checking those machines around the time the smurfs movie comes out as I'm sure they'll have smurfs in one. I'll be wasting a whole heap of money trying to win them. What is the trick with these machines??? any tips??

My tips are to pick a toy that's not too deeply buried and the claw can get round easily. Also, wait for the claw to stop swinging before you lower it

OMG - I soooo want to have a go at that machine. I won a singing gummy bear from one the other day so I'm sure I could win one of these :)

oh cool! I so want to have a go at these machines. I've never managed to be sucessful on a claw machine so I think it'll be frustrating not to win a smurf. Hope these toys make it into machines in Australia... I'm guessing not until next year when the smurfs movie is out though.

These smurfs were pretty easy to grab with the claw compared to other machines I have tried in my day. Their big hats help....of course, being a claw machine, it was easy to get them in the air before the claw decided to jolt hard enough to try to drop the smurfs back into the pile :x That happened more than once but we were successful :woohoo:

The next day we found a second machine with a smaller size in them (photos to follow) :D

Great Staci!!

I bet you stood there for a long time, so the small children was not able to try the claw machine!! :(

I think I would try to buy the smurfs from winners instead. I usually never wins on these machines. :)
André

In Sweden the smurfs are blue ( and yellow).

Surprisingly, no one wanted to play and win smurfs

I lined up the smurfs to show the size difference but Kaz decided to jump in and get his photo taken as well :photo:

The smaller smurfs were in a Mega Circus machine and only cost 50 cents per try instead of $1 for the larger sized smurfs in the Pinnacle machine.

@ Moey its not that you are no good at these machines. There are desiged to grab harder every so often. If you happen to miss when it grabs harder. It may take you forever to win one. I saw that on sliced on the hist channel. How much did it cost you Staci to will all of those?

Staci, you did really well on the claw machines to win that many smurfs... just wondering how many shots it took to get them all & how many hours standing there trying to win them, lol.
