Mine did this too yesterday. Submitted my post, blank screen and having seen Kath's post had two copies I suspected that this maybe a duplicate post too if I resubmitted it. I opened a second tab in my browser and checked that it had in fact been posted. :o I am using a Mozilla based browser in case that helps. :-?

Maybe Jokey Smurf planted a April 1st gremlin in the system... Not funny Jokey Smurf!

That post worked fine... however it does say that I am "offline" despite being logged in and posting!

Yes, it’s a bit of strange error. But the more information we can gather the better in trying to work out what is causing the error.

Out of interest are you receiving a notification email to advise you someone has responded to your post. I haven’t been receiving any in the last couple of posts I have submitted.

Has anyone received a HTTP error 500 after they have submitted a post?

Trying to establish what could be causing the error which is proving rather difficult. So I may need to attempt to contact our hosting company.

I assume the hosting company has done some update somewhere. As far as us users go I use Linux and a Mozilla based browser (LibreWolf) you used a ipad (Apple maybe Safari browser?) and you said you used Google chrome browser I'm guessing someone out there is still using Microsoft windows? If so, that is three different Operating systems with three different Web browser technologies. The one common denominator is the server hosting the BBS software.

Yes it happened again... but thinking about it. This started happening near the end of Easter weekend (I commented at the time it was a April fools joke by Jokey smurf) That sounds like the sort of time an IT hosting company would schedule an update.
