Hello from New Zealand!

Hello everyone!

I'm new to the place, so I thought I'd introduce myself! My name is Brandon but all my friends call me Ponyboy (is PonySmurf okay?)

I remember watching the SMURFS when I was a kid (growing up in the 1980s). I had a stuffed Gargamel doll during the mid 80s I believe. The Smurf that sticks out most in my mind is the leprechaun (St. Patricks Day Smurf?) and the Smurf in the Easter Bunny outfit holding an egg. Those 2 were my favorites!

I currently have 3 Smurfs... but am looking at starting my collection anew after a friend of mine here in town showed me her collection. :D

Are there any places to buy smurfs in New Zealand? are there markets and toy/collectable shops to find smurfs in.

Hey Brad,

No I've not seen any stores or collectible type places with Smurfs in them. There is a graphic novel/comic shop here in Wellington but they deal with primarily superhero toys/action figures.

My friend Morag got her Smurfs at a yard sale, and a few off "TradeMe" which is kind of like NZ's version of CraigsList. ;)

I started out with only 3 smurfs too & now Mrs Tojo says I have too many :) :) That hasn't stopped me collecting more though....
