This is a bit hard to explain without a picture. :banghead:

Christy asked me about a smurf and showed me a picture of a goldsmurf with a logotype under its foot. I recognized that logotype and it was from the company Huber+Suhner grounded in 1969. Pre 1969 they were different companies. The smurf itself was a smurf with markings telling us it was made in 1977/78 and used for a few years. It is the early Hongkong-mold with the emblem. This mold was a Schleich-mold never used by Bully. It was made after Schleich started again in 1976/77.

Suhner actually makes rubber that could be used for toys. So my question for you is if anyone else has a smurf with their logo? It could be that they, just like BASF, made the material or paint Schleich used for their toys. But that is just me guessing. Could be just a promo or some other marked the smurf for internal use only?? :-?

Anyone have any information about Huber+Suhner around 1978 that could be a clue? :D
