Hi there,
that's an awesome list...I don't have any pewters yet, but once I do have some, I know this list will come in handy

In regards to pictures...

you can either start a new post with new pictures..or you can send your pictures to me and I will add them to the BC flickr account (I will add them on there anyway once they are posted here) and one of the mods will add them to the post :D

You can also set up your own free flickr account and link to the pictures that way to keep the pictures in one post ...Give me a shout if you need help :D

Noob alert!

What's a pewter smurf? :?

They are just smurfs made out of pewter (not sure what type of metal that is). Were these officially licensed this way? I don't own any either so I don't know much about them. There are a lot on that list though :D

Also, Alan, you can only post three pics per post but you can always say "more photos" on the next post to add three more. Only admins can attach more than three photos. Or, if you have a website, you can link as many photos as you want in each post with the tags.

Hi Alan, nice topic. :-D

Regarding more pics, as Stace mentions, post reply to this thread and you can then keep the pis together here. :D

That is a great list you have put together. I also love the pewter smurfs although I only have a few.
Here are mine.

Thanks... I didn't know "pewter" was a substance. I looked it up... appearantly it's 85-99% tin with the remainder being copper

Hello to our fellow Smurfers,

We are trying with this post to send more pix of our Pewter Smurfs.

Staci has recommended using the Img* button, but I guess my Smurfy noggin is too thick to figure it out.

I will just send 3 more as attachments.

Pewter Smurfs were made by American Pewter in the USA. They are a licenced product with the markings: "PEYO 1980".

Pewter is an an alloy often found in Cornwall in south west England. Due to the large amount of tin mines (historically at least) a lot of jewellery was made of pewter (eg. st. Christopher medals etc). It is quite heavy though.

Hello to all our Smury Friends,

Thanks for all the nice comments about our Pewter Smurfs.

They are out there to be found. Last summer we found 5 pieces at a local flea market.

We hope this season will bring more Smurfy Treasures as we continue our Smurf Quest.

Happy Smurfing, :dogrun:
