Hi,

Thought I'd amuse you all by telling you about my tutorial today. I was team teaching and the other tutor asked the students what they were most thankful for at the moment, well when it came to my turn, I'm afraid it had to my smurf collection.

Only then, one of them, after we'd established, that yes they did still make smurfs and yes I would bring in pics of the new ones when they were released, asked to sing one of the songs.

Well, after a chorus of 'I've got a little puppy', they asked for another and unfortunately the only one that came into my head was 'smurfing beer' from the Father Abraham album, I made it to 'it tastes like beer but it isn't dear' before the whole room collapsed in fits of giggles.

I don't think this has done much for my cool factor but at least I'm spreading the smurfing word ...

It's hard for simple folk to understand a genius when they see one Helen.....don't worry, we all think you're super cool and the students should be greatful towards you for enlightning them with the smurf vision
