I assume you did Schleicher.

Now we know who to send PM´s to next year!! :) :) :)

Actually I think it could be a smart sellingconcept with the zodiacs.
Could mean that a lot non-smurfcollectors buy them just because they are a Scorpio, for example.

And I can say my daughters love them already. :D

In Sweden the smurfs are blue ( and yellow).

As you all will be buying the new smurfs and there are pictures out, maybe let me point out that there is already a (quite relevant, not a teeny weeny one) variation of one of the new smurfs. Will I spoil the fun in finding variations if I tell you what there is to look out for? If yes, I'll wait for you to find and confirm upon request. If you want to know, I'll point it out in advance so you can go look for the variation when going on a shopping tour.

Sorry, I will only confirm or deny any information you get from somewhere else. I'm sure you understand..

Schleicher,

I would love to know the variation. Is it a obvious variation or a small hard to find variation?

But maybe it is better if you PM the ones who like to know if someone wouldn´t like to know. :-?

It's obvious if you compare the two smurfs. I'll wait for some more reactions and then decide what to do.

Well, I am the world's worst at finding variations so I am all for you telling us what it is..even better if you have pictures you can show :-D

Thank you for publishing the picture, Lia

Still not sold on the idea, but I really love the box

If the variation is in large numbers and easy to find it could actually be fun not to know.

But if it is a rare variation we have to look for it is better you tell us so we can grab it fast. :) If off course the smurfseller won´t put them aside for themselves. :(

I like to know it too! Like Maureen, I never see them myself.
André and Joaquin have the eyes of an eagle

So,the variations are made deliberately?
and then,we can always hope for painterrors, right?

I don't collect variations, unless it's such a big variation that the smurf almost looks like another model. :D So I'm all for learing what the variation is, and know if I'll need to get that one or not. ;)

Thanks for the picture Lia! :-D :) I'm not crazy about them but I don't hate them either. I think they will look better in real life.

Andre - providing information about identity numbers is cool so don't worry. :D

Schleicher - yes please, tell us about the variation! :-D :) :)

Oookay, I'll tell ya:

Spoiler warning:

The Virgo smurf: First batch has the flower NOT attached to the head. Any future Virgos will have the flower attached to the head. Don't go looking in the 2010 smurf display, you'll probably not find the first batch in the display. Chances to find the first batch in Nirth America should be higher than elsewhere, but in total there will be more variations in "Not-North America". This might sound confusing, but if you think about it, it CAN make sense if you know statistics.

Hafe fun in finding the variation!

Thanks,

The virgo on the picture is the first version?

From that angle one can't tell.

Thanks Lia for finally showing the new smurfs... :D

I don't really like them sooo much. They look a bit unsmurfy, for example the scorpion. However, the more smurfier figures like the gemini and the waterman look quite nice and I am looking forwards to see them in the shops. I also noticed that the Schütze partly has got the same mold as the indian archer.

Does anyone know why the Capricorn Smurf eats a carrot?

@ Schleicher: It is really impressive how many information you have. :-D

My favourites are for sure Piscis and Gemini (I have a twin brother :) :) :) :) )

Perhaps Carlos (lobo) is too shy to say it publicly, so I will do it: have you noticed that Schelich has copied the selmade carlos sent to the autumm competition for desining the piscis smurf???? :-D :-D :-D

Carlos you are a real artist so you should ask Schliech for benefits or a job a designer :D :D :D
