Finally, the WT smurf leaves Spain. if I am not wrong he is travelling now to Holland. BON VOYAGE!!!!!

These are the pics Jon has sent to me. He has visited three different cities in Spain: Madrid, Logroño (with the famous red wines Rioja, where Jon lives) and Soria, a small town btw logroño (north) and Madrid (centre)

Hope you like them:

1.- Jon and WT smurf ready for eating at Calle del Laurel
2.- WT arriving to Calle del laurel, the famous street full of small restaurants
3.- WT smurf and Rodin

After visiting Logroño, direct to Madrid

1.- The Royal Palace
2.- El Rastro, famous fleamarket
3.- The Plaza Mayor of MAdrid, avery nice place

1.- Last day at madrid. Taking the underground in the most famous street of Madrid, the Gran Via st. NExt station: SORIA!!!!

2 and 3. Monuments of Soria, a small town in Castilla (a very nice place but very different to the south of Spain where I live)

I forgot this one: WT in the Way of Saint James (Camino de Santiago). This old way has an important role in teh development of Europe, and Logroño is one of the cities in this way...

I know Granada! and Barcelona!
And right now, I have to choose between Lisbon and Madrid for my next trip, but it`s just a matter of time, I intend to see both!
and I certainly will see Sevilla too one day

Those are fantastic photos & I'm sure that WT had a great time visiting those wonderful places

I'd like to go to Spain again one day. So far I have only been to La Herradura on the Costa Tropical & from there we visited Granada & the Alhambra.

Just want to let you know that the WT smurf arived in Goes ( Holland ) today.
Luckely on a very nice sunny day
I showed him already some nice places today, and the next two days i will show him some more.
So if all "goes" well some report on monday or the next day............

But i can tell you we had a great time already.......

Traveller arrived in Goes

Goes was founded in the 10th century on the edge of a river.
In 1405 Goes received city rights so in the year 2005 we had a big party for 600 years Goes.
There are about 27000 people who live in Goes
In the insignia from the city there is a Goose …….. ( i have to mention since there is one person who sometimes call me a silly goose  )

I live in the south and the watertower is a symbol of south Goes.
It’s build in 1912 designed by Carl Francke and 63 meters high.
No longer in use as watertower.
Now there are some company’s in it.

The building on the right of the watertower use to be a hospital…………. I was born there………..loooooong time ago.
