A new BASF smurf?

I think it's been about a year ago that we were totally surprised by a new smurf appearing on ebay, which turned out to be the BASF smurf.
Well, Frank Oswald from Gascher's surprised me today....and said there might be a new BASF smurf out ...or it might even be a smurfette.
Here is the quote
maybe you can surprise your community with the news that there will be a brand new BASF smurf soon - or ist it a smurfette ??????
Does anybody remember when the fair was last year when the smurf made it's first appearance?
Any idea what the new smurf or smurfette will look like?
More importantly....can we get anybody inside this fair who can get enough of the smurfs for us?

Simon posted the first auction on November 1, 2007...I just looked on the BASF website for the date of this year's fair and I found this info:
PLAST EURASIA 2008
27 - 30 November 2008
Istanbul, Turkey
Not sure if it's the same one but we may find out soon

That is a very interesting information!
Last year, the BASF smurf was given away in the Kunstoffmesse (trade fair for plastics and rubber) 2007 in Düsseldorf. But the next Kunststoffmesse is taking place in 2010...

So, it would have to be another trade fair...

Oh that's exciting!
I haven't got last year's BASF smurf yet though. Oh well, I'd better that people are good to me at Christmas!

If this news is true I wont hesitate to pick one up. Being cautious last year I waited till the price went too high.
let's hope it is a smurfette,

I have read this earlier this year so no news for me. Now we just have to find out where to get some.

Wow, I'd never seen that article before
That would be cool do have another new BASF figure (I just hope there aren't so many different tags next time as I thinks that's partly what caused the prices on ebay to go so high - everyone wanted a complete set. I just wanted any one of them regardless of which tag & ended up with 2 figures at over €20 each
).

Same here.. its always been about the moulds for me, and not the tags..
Incidentally, I will def. buy the new BASF if the mould is original! If it's just an old one with BASF on it;s head/foot I don't think I'll bother I was REALLY impressed with last years BASF promo! I seriously would say it's one of the nicest post-millenium smurfs!

That sounds exciting, if only some of them would be given to BC.

I don't know either Ralph but she does look very nice. It seems to be the only one up for auction on German ebay at the moment so I think we'll have to wait & see.....

the seller does not ship abroad....but hundreds and hundreds Basf smurfettes will follow, if it goes the same way as the chemist did.
So, it`s better to wait!
