Looking back at the rare smurfs buildings and play sets, like the Treestump, Castle and combi sets, do you think they should re-release them in the new package or not?

The reason I say this is that a lot of people probaly don't own them and they are quite htf and expensive and they could have them in their collection and not pay high prices from them.

A castle would be neat.

As far as I know schleich has not brought anything back once retired. At least I can't think of anything right now that was brought back

The Covered Wagon was brought back. In the eighties the original was selling for $200 plus, then it was rereleased and sold for $14.00. I believe the original had the markings of Wallace Berrie.

so maybe there is hope that something will come back

I hope they do but I doubt they will re-release the more expensive items. I still think the original ones would hold a fair bit of value as collectors would like to have the original markings and box, colours etc.

However I think the castle and tree stump are items that can be easily damaged and I doubt they would release items with those materials ever again. If they do, I am sure we would all buy them.....but I would put Moey's house on it that they won't......Moey may not put her house on it but I can since she isn't here.

If anyone would want these types of items, then I would suggest that people start sucking up (BIG TIME) to people like Gerda in the hope that you end up in her will or something.....just while I think of it.....you've always had a great sense of style & taste Gerda and I think I can say that since I am your best friend and I would do anything for you like look after anything that was precious to you if you were no longer able to......keep it in mind.
