Been trying to figure if these smurfs are fake or not, still think it's a hard thing to figure out from photos. :???: So maybe one of you "experts" can tell me. :D :?

EDIT: After close check, I must add that I if Dyar's site is right and the FAKE baby doesn't look to the left, then these must be the real ones, no? I don't seem to be able to see the seam running down the egg on the Smurf with the Egg on his back either.

Are yours one piece or two piece smurfs?

You can easily see where the fake ones were put together whereas the genuine ones are one piece molds.

Dyar's site shows the two pieces very well so if you compare yours with his you should know.

I agree it's hard to tell the fakes from the genuines when looking at pictures. I recently got the fake ones and was suprised that it's easy to tell they are two piece molds :D

The only one's I kind of have a question about are the Smurf eating and easter egg and Smurfette with chick. Maybe it's your camera but they look really shinny.

I don't have them. :(
They're pics from an auction, and I was trying to decide if I should put a bid on them or not... :-?
I'm going to risk it, based on the baby eyes... wish me luck. :fingers:

They seem official, except the smurfette with the egg, she looks strange (perhaps because of the pic).

Just ask if there is a dark blue dot on the bottom of the smurfs. If so they are fake! But I don't call them real fake they were made for a special offer in the Netherlands (someone told me this once). I'm not sure about that.
They are a little smaller if you compare them with the ones we all bought in the shops.
And indeed they are more shinny. But this isn't always a good reference . Because Schleich made some smurfs shinny and not shinny in the last years.
I hope this helps you a bit...
Big hug
Michelle

No time to ask, since the auction ended this moorning, and I only notice it last night. :???:

Anyway, I bid and won! :-D :-D
Even cheaper than my maximum. Only 19,5€ for the 6. Think it's a good price, and if they're fakes, at least I didn't spent a fortune. :) :) :)

Thanks for the help.
