Hi All; Last night I was sitting outside taking to my neighbor. She said that they had put up little hanging things and price tags for lip baum yesterday. They hadn't gotten the lip baum yet. So today I checked another store with the same result. No lib baum yet, but tags were in place. I was about to walk out and as I turned I saw the Smurf kites. They had two of them a 52 inch for $3 and a 24 inch for $1. I bought them both. I don't need the $24 inch but I bought it anyway. I paid my income taxes last night and still have $5 left over.(they didn know I had it) lol

Hi All; Today I went to the other 3 dollar generals in town. I didn't see any kites or lip baum in any of the stores. In the store my neighbor works in I did find the metal hanging thing that had the price $1.50 and the name Smurf lip baum compact. So I do think these are diffrent than the one's from Target. There wasn't enough room to hang the one's from Target either.

Hi All; I thought I would post a pic of all three kites. The one one the left is the 24 inch kite and is in the shape of a diamond. The one in the middle is the 42 inch kite and is in the shape of a triangle. The one on the right is the 52 inch kite and kind of reminds me of a bat.

Hi All; Today I needed laundry soap and bleach. So I went to the dollar general a block away from my house. I had just checked it yesterday and found nothing. When I went in I first found the spot for the lip baum but there wasn't any there. I next grabed the soap and bleach. I was just two isles from the toys so I decided to check for the kites. I found a box of kites that looked new. Its wasn't there yesterday. The box had all three sizes of kites. 24 for $1, 42 for $2 and 52 for $3.
P.S. One funny thing I went on my phone to Google maps and typed in Dollar General, and all four of the Dollar Generals that are far away from me came up. Not the one just 1 block away. Actually the road I live on is two blocks long. If I walk out to the left on the road I will run directly into the building that Dollar General is in.

I must have missed that there are three different kites available. If I understand you correctly they are all sold now by the Dollar General?

I still haven't seen any of them around here..I've seen the other kites (Star Wars, Spiderman) but not the smurf ones

You understood me correctly. There are three size kites and Dollar General sells all three. However there is only 1 of each size in the box and it looks larger than the one at Walgreens. I have 4 Dollar Generals here is town and only two of them had the kites.

Does anyone have a bunch of the bigger kites available? I have lots of the little ones but no big ones. The stores around here either only got one and sold out or did not get any

I have only found the smallest kite as well but I haven't been looking too much. Now that work has slowed down again, may have to keep an eye out

I checked on the lip baulm and what they had on the shelf was this generic package, nothing what so ever to do with smurfs and yet when she checked and scanned it they said it was smurfs. I knew better and did not buy it so someone at the store screwed up. Have not seen a smurfy one yet

I was at a dollar gen this morning. They still didn't have the lip baum. The other store I was in the other day had something in the spot but not Smurfs so you might be right Gerta. It didn't have any thing to do with Smurfs that I could see. I have a neighbor that works at one and she is keeping an eye out for me. I have sixteen of the little kites, five of the 52inch and 4 of the 42 inch kites. I may let a couple of them go. Still not sure yet.

Hi All; I needed tea for iced tea so I stopped at dollar gen. I didn't find the lip baum's so I got the tea and was walking to reg, and noticed some of the items for those infromertials. The sign said 25% off but I didn't see a price. I though I would take them to the reg and see how much they were. They both rang up as $.01. The girl looked at me and said that wasn't right. I couldn't see the price real good so I leaned in and agreed with her. She called the manager up and she confirmed that it was probibly wrong but to sell them to me at that price and pull the rest off the shelf. It was being discontinued.
