Hi All; I just went to Toys R Us. I didn't see my neice, but another guy that knows I collect Smurfs told me. That I was going to be very happy in about a month. They will be getting a whole new line of Smurf stuff. I was going to check out Toys R Us's web site by when my computer came up I was already on this site.

sounds exciting Bill, America certainly is getting some smurf stuff lately. I don't know why Toys R Us can't provide the UK with some smurfy items too :(
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

I wonder what the new products will be? Perhaps those Lego-like sets?

I'd love to see those appear here in Europe as well (it would save a lot on postage & customs duty  )

He did say something about car's but not sure what they look like. He knew that there was a movie comming out next year. I went on TRU website, but didn't see anything. I can't remember if they had a catigory for smurfs but nothing was there, or if that was another site.\P.S. I just remembered what site I found a catigory for but nothing was there. It was Modern Publishing. I even tried to look up the two coloring books I bought last week and they didn't show up. I even tried the ISDN number with no luck.

Oh yes, they usually know ahead of time what's coming as they have to get their storage ready..if it's like some Fastfoods they even get a floorplan with exact directions where to put what..

I wouldn't be surprised if they already have them in storage but can't put them out until next month :)

Yea I guess that's posible. He didn't say anything about that, but it maybe could have gotten him in trouble if he did. What I wasn't really sure of if he was talking about cars kids can ride in or one's like the ones already out.

I am not sure if TrU will have them, but there will be a few new displays with (I believe) 5 smurfs sold in the US soon. The displays are new, but they are alll existing smurfs. Look out for them in September.

The guy I spoke to seen like there was a whole bunch of stuff. I kind of wondered when Walmart and Target both had Smurf stuff a couple of years ago if they were just testing how the market would be for the Smurfs. I don't know all around the country, but in my town and surrounding towns they did really well. There are lots of closet collectors out there. Meaning they collect but don't get on here and talk about it. I have found two in the last two months just with the 7 or so friends I picked up when my friend went missing.

Hi Schleicher,

They are existing Schleich smurfs packed similar to this animal set:

Only - of course - with a smurf style packing.

That is awesome news Schleicher! :-D :-D

And that was the type of scenerypacks I was thinking about!

Do you know if there will be a new smurfbag also for the shop
to give to the customers? Last years bags for wildlife, farmlife etc are very nice! Just that I would like one with smurfs also?? :-?

thats great news Schleicher! Sounds like a good idea to package 5 smurfs together in a display box.
Are there plans to expand the smurf range for 2011 for when the smurfs movie comes out? :D
