A very happy new year to you all.
Any ideas on the 2024 Schleich Smurfs?

Happy new year Kath
well I just hope at the moment that Schleich will continue to release smurfs - and if they do I hope that the figures are of course something interesting... There have been so many themes over the years that it's difficult to imagine what new theme they could come up with...

Hi Tojo,
Happy new year to you as well.
I was discussing this topic with another Smurf collector who thinks it will be something to do with the 2025 Smurf movie. But I thought it could be something to do with the Paris Olympics.
Though like you I just want Schleich to continue making new Smurfs.

This was posted on the Global Smurf Collectors Facebook by Arne’s blue heaven.
It came to my attention that due to production planning, Schleich will not be making Smurfs to be released in June 2024, as expected.
The next Schleich Smurf series (again 6 normally) are expected in January 2025.

It seems they’re winding things down and may only release Smurfs to coincide with any films, etc…? It doesn’t look hopeful for the future. They could easily have released some new ones this year, but I guess they’re not really that bothered. Maybe Smurf sales are really low and they’ll only release them if they have to? Does anyone know when they renewed the contract to produce them and for how long it was for?

Tommo, I have no idea on your questions. But I do know Schleich has a new CEO Stefan De Loecker as effective of 1 January 2024.
It will be interesting to see what happens in 2025 with Schleich. Perhaps they will only produce Smurfs for McDonald’s or another companies.
