I was looking through an old Smurf mini Katalog and noticed a different version of the Smurfette with Baby. Does anyone know if this one was actually sold publicly or if this was only a testversion that appeared in the catalogues?

The difference for anyone who doesn't know is that the Baby has a white hat and pants where usually the Baby is dressed all in pink.

Well spotted detective Syd. I don't think I have ever come across this variation in "real" life. May I ask what catalogue it is? Is it Germany or possibly Spanish? :-?

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

The writing looks similar to Italian to me so maybe its Spanish??

I have noticed it in a few of the older catalogues so it wasn't just this one it was in....i will show some covers of the catalogues as I am sure some of you have these catalogues at home as well.

It's Spanish, by the way.

Pitufos = Spain, Puffi = Italy.

Hi Rach

It can be seen in these 2 mini catalogues (see pic below). I haven't noticed it in any of the others.

It seems that smurfs had their own mini catalogue until 1999 I think when they became Schleich mini catalogues with all of Schleich products....does this sound right Rachel.....anyone?

Thanks for posting those Dyar, I do have the second one but it is already packed so I will have to check it out later. :o

As for the smurfs and the mini Schleich guides, I *think* you are right about pre 1999 only smurfs but I am not 100% sure so please don't take only my word on this one. :D

I am slowly building up anice collection of these mini catalogues. I think they may be handy to have in answering some questions from time to time. I am still missing a few but I will keep a look out for others as I go along.

Big thanks to Karen for the big one and also the 2005 Schleich one. I love the Castle and some other buildings I saw in the big one.....if only I owned Schleich......it would be smurfs for all.

Dyar

PS - Actually if I owned Schleich I would probably be a stingy fat cat who would stop painting smurfs because I could make more money that way......but hey.....raws for all.

PPS - Raws for all at a very expensive price though.....I am running a business for Syd's sake.

PPSS - Good thing I ain't running Schleich huh?

I am at it again....looking at older threads and trying to relink some pictures. :)
Anyway, I came across this one, when Dyar found this smurfette with baby variation in an old Spanish Schleich catalog.

The baby is white instead of pink.

We have a lot of new knowledgable variation collectors on here since this was last discussed, I thought I try to revive this thread and ask anew...

Has anybody seen this variation and was it ever released? :-?

I love it but I've never seen it! Mind you, I only have7 months experience to draw on so that's not saying much. If I do see it, I shall snap it up and then tell you all! :-D :)

Sorry, I tried to look the link of the picture up and it shows it was on ebay. So unless somebody saved it on their computer and remembers which picture it is, the picture is lost :-?
