Hi, I'm making a Smurf village in Second Life (an online, 3D environment) and am currently working on the windmill and storehouse (have made a house, well, smurfberry bushes, and other miscellaneous things so far). I'm trying to find pix of them but, while a windmill playset was made, I can't find a storehouse one. I'm wondering if anyone knows of specific episodes where these buildings (moreso the storehouse) are shown? I know of Gormandizing Greedy and The Last Smurfberry but those feature mostly interior and/or limited exterior shots. I really just need a full shot, preferably with at least 2 different sides/views. I found a pic of a storehouse someone made (can't find the link now) but it's pretty small and hard to see any details.
I just bought my first playset, the well, from eBay yesterday.
Check out Second Life (

for some smurfy things I've made in Second Life so far.

Ah, yes--that's the one I saw! Very nice.
Do you have any closer pics of it?
http://tnlc.com/eep/smurfs/ for episode screenshots of the storehouse I've seen so far--still no good exterior shots of one that looks like yours (and my Second Life one that is a cross between yours and the exterior in the pic--well, the roof anyway).

Hi Ee2p,
Do you mind if I make some scenic comments regarding your smurf village?
(Since the software gives you significantly more freedom to change things)
I consulted my engineer smurf (the guy in the orange hardhat) and he had this to say:
"I wouldn't put my storehouse so close to the beach. Is that an ocean or a lake? I'd be worried about flooding. As for the windwill, I'd put it on higher ground, or at least away from the other buildings. Looks like your village will grow and that may disrupt the wind."
But, what does he know?

Thanks. You can just post them here if you like--or whatever's easier for you. I'm sure others wouldn't mind seeing closer pics of it too.

I don't mind comments/suggestions.
I don't have any land of my own so I just use public "sandboxes" to make and display this stuff (temporarily, unfortunately), so that layout isn't how I would want the village to be anyway--it just happened to be where I was building and I wanted to position the buildings so other people's objects weren't in the background.

Hi, Rachel--thanks.
Yea, Second Life is really cool and VERY immersive. It's just too bad land is a bit on the expensive side ($10/month for 512m²--
more info) and there's a limit to how much you can build on it.
But, at least basic accounts are free, so feel free to
check it out (so I get a referral credit, please) and I can show you all my smurfy stuff.
I'm Eep Quirk there. Pictures don't do this justice since you can move your avatar (character) around inside, around, and all over objects.

Welcome, Eep²! Nice building graphics there.
I know next to nothing about the cartoons (even though I saw a lot of them as a kid), but there are some images of the storehouse in the comics (e.g. in the second story in the book "The Smurfette", called "Hunger at the Smurfs", where their storehouse burns down).
Other Smurfy buildings are the dam, the weather machine, the farm and of course Gargamel's castle. And for a really big project, you could take on the Schlumpfburg (the castle of King Smurf)!

Hmm, I don't suppose you have any pics of it, or wouldn't mind scanning them?

Heh, yea, I want to make the dam and farm--and maybe the weather machine--perhaps even Gargamel's hovel, but I'd need some serious amount of land in Second Life to pull it all off.

Hi Eep²
That looks quite outstanding actually. I know nothing about this type of area but it sounds like it would be fun to play with and so far it looks really excellent. I am looking forward to see what else you add to that pic.

I was watching Vol 4 of the Aussie available smurf dvds and one of the stories in there had a good picture of the Storehouse. I don't know which story it was as I just walked past and saw it. I think it was early on in the dvd though. You can buy those dvds online from
www.ezydvd.com.au and they ship worldwide though of course you need a region free dvd player to view it.

Heh, that's me as Handy looking over my village model.
If you look at the other pics (in the linked directory), you can see a closeup view.

Hi Eep²,
now that I've checked the other pics it's obvious what the smurf's doing
It just goes to show that reading all the posts properly pays off

Was it "Turncoat Smurf"? Found some great storehouse
pix in that episode.
