Hi guys, just wondering if anyone else likes Dylan Moran, the Irish comedian out of Black Books. We think he is hilarious and had his stand up up routine DVD for Christmas. We were watching it for the first time last night and couldn't believe it when he finished off a joke with "I'd felate a smurf" and then went on to make a joke about smurfs which lasted a good few lines. We were both in tears laughing so much. :sofunny: :rolf:

If you like Dylan Moran I would highly recommend you seeing his DVD: Monster - Live. Very very funny. :-D

Hi Christy, you mean Saffy I think. :D
We had a cat called Saffy that we named after the daughter.

Steve, if you enjoyed Black Books, you will love his stand up stuff. I agree I wish they would make more of them. I think my favourite episode has to be the one when Bill Bailey is palying the piano with spoons. He is also very good at stand up.

I can absolutely recommend "coupling" I have stitches each time I watch them on dvd. There were four series of them but unfortunately there isn't likely to be any more of them :( :(
Something about a falling out between actors or something and the writer is now doing other things. But IMHO the best comedy I've seen. :-D :D :)

Oh Rach you took the words right out of my mouth. That was my fave episode too i loved that one. I loved it when they shut him inside the piano to make out the other one could really play. :) :) :) I wonder why they never done more?? :-?
Smurfy regards, steve. :D

Black Books is good stuff. We used to watch it religiously as it was on before Glasshouse (a great Aussie comedy talk show). I did see it was back on for a while recently but seems to have disappeared again.

It is mad to think we all watch many of the same programmes even though we all live in different parts of the world. Daryl, yes I have also seen Coupling, very funny.

I will watch the Dylan Moran DVD again soon and see if I can write out the bit about smurfs, it might have to go in the adult section though as it is a bit rude. :D

I was out and about this lunch time when I ducked into a dvd shop to get some relief from the heat.. and what do ya know there was the seasons 1,2,3 of black books in one pack for a bargen, so based on fate (I'm always motivated when confronted by coinsidences) and your recommendations I snavelled it up. So I have my weekend TV viewing organised.

:D sorted!

Oh! All the Smurfs antics coming out now! :) :)

Do youremember the episode of French & Saunders where they talk about selling a papa smurf at an auction for a very high amount of money?
I think we talked about it on the forum at the time... funny how many reference to Smurfs you can find!!! :)
