Since we are on the subject (i.e. Gerda's mystery sockels)...I won this sockel tonight that I couldn't see in the DSK and was wondering if anyone knew what country it comes from. It's in English so it's most likely either American or English. Any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks
Dyar

My guess would be that it is a variation to the grumpy I miss you smurf a gram (p. 261) But that is just a guess..

These are the variations I know off about the same theme.
The 2 blue ones I have seen on eBay UK a few times already.
Of course it doesn't mean they were from there originally, but it gives an idea.
I do not know for the white and yellow... (I thought the yellow one was from Australia... but I can't remember why, so it's not really valid info)
Cheers,
David

My guess is Australia.

This is the 2nd one like this I have seen in Australia (outbidded on the first
) but that means nothing since most of the smurfs on sale in Australia come from around the world and very few would actually be original Aussie bought smurfs.
Thanks for your advice everyone....I will say it's possibly Australian on the site until I hear anything different or at least until I view the markings anyway.
Cheers blue ears

I keep forgetting to post this but I received the yellow sockel with the Courting smurf on top and it has W Germany Schleich S markings with the rounded corners so I don't think it could be Australian as they should all be Hong Kong markings. Any other thoughts?
