Hello everyone

I'm Jim, Meagans better half, decided i better come check out what happens on here, since i was the one with the bright idea to get her collecting again. Good idea to start with but now our bank balance is telling me otherwise.

Anyway if Meagan misbehaves in anyway just pm and i'll sort her out.

Jim

Hey Jim! Great to meet you. Checking up on Meagan hey, hehe.
A joint bank account now isn't probably the best thing. You'll be eating beans on toast for a whole month if Meagan goes crazy on ebay buying smurfs. hehe. At least she has managed to buy the rare and expensive baseball smurfette, so that purchase is out of the way already.

I'm looking forward to my smurf marathon dvd! Thanks again.

Brad.

Hi Jim, welcome aboard. :welcome:

It is great to hear that you are supporting Meagan's collecting, you never know, you may get the bug yourself. :-D

You will have to let us know in six months time if you still think it was a good idea! :)

Thanks people

I think I will stick to my cars and leave Meagan with the smurfs.

As for ebay she may have to take a break since we are getting married in June. I suppose we could always have beans on toast for that and save some money.

dvd arrived today Meagan! Thanks! I can't wait to sit and watch these. I actually put it in and took a look at the first episode and wow! There is an Australian episode of The Smurfs! I've never seen that. "G'day Smoogle" it's called. I look forward to watching the whole episode. Time travelling? I really can't remember this happening. These look to be some episodes I haven't seen! Excellent!

That's not true...I watched the first episode tonight with Jack. The one with the mean Aussie guy. I bet ya all didn't know Smoogle came from Australia.....that's where all of his family were according to that cartoon....until the snakes got them all anyway.

I've watched the first nine episodes sofar.
I didn't know Smoogle was from Australia, but that still doesn't explain what animal he is supposed to be?

Just a note, that the "Collectors" tv show is back on the ABC. New day and new time, 8:00pm Fridays. It started this gone Friday and you should have seen this womens collection of Snoopy/Peanuts! Almost insane as some smurf collectors here, lol. She had a whole room dedicated to Snoopy and she said she had over 4 thousand pieces making her's the largest Snoopy collection in Australia. Anyway, this show is very good for any collector to watch.

Dyar, did you ever get around to watching the Collectors episode with the Smurf collection shown?

Brad.

I did Brad...yeah. It was great to see it and although it was only short there's nothing like seeing a smurf colelction on tele.

I did contact the show but they were based in Tassie so I had to make a tape or something and send it in. I don't have a video recorder..(not sure why I don't?....ah...cos I haven't found a smurf one yet on ebay...that's right)...otherwise I would of sent something in. I would of course squeezed them out of the smurf room and probably would put a few of them in the fridge just for the sake of it.....could of used the old line...."they must be cold they're blue" or something equally embarrassing. It would be fun to see our collections on tv but I haven't sent them anything and haven't planned to.....I would probably just cringe hearing my stupid voice on the tv :banghead: :)

Have any of you guys thought about doing something like this? Maybe we should get them to do a smurf show and they can feature all of our collections from Australia wide.....and Daryl too since he's actually probably closer to Tasmania than any of us..except for Kira of course.

I'd have to curb my k1w1 accent.. although these days I have been talking so much in smurf voices that A) people avoid me and B) I'm beginning to think that it is my real voice. Even my inner monologue has a smurf accent now!!
