Two questions to very experienced collectors

Hi everyone!!!!!!!! from a spanish smurfer....
Dimply, you can find a translation of your KAtalogue in
http://www.mushroomvillage.com/katalog4preface.html (thanks Mark) Try it!!!!!!
And one question for experienced collectors:when I watch the variations of my smurfs, I realise that some of them, have "marks" that I can´t find in the catalogue... For example: smurf nr 20009. I have variation nr 1, nr 2 nd nr 5; in another figure , I can read "eura Spain", and its characteristics are the same ones than nr 1, without Peyo in its arm but yes at the bottom of the drum...Can it be consider another variation? Is it a fake one?Is it "sonstige"? What really means "sonstige"?
And another question...Is it too difficult to find the "Smurf´s Karrusel"? My girlfriend wants to give it to me in my next birthday...but we can´t find it anywhere...
Thank you very much....

Hello Joaquín
Firstly your drummer smurf. There are many variations that are not listed in the DSK but I am guessing that if yours is marked Spain it is a fake because as far as I know, there are no genuine figures with a Spanish marking.
Sonstige I have always assumed means other, someone, please correct me if I am wrong.
The Carousel can be found quite regularly on German Ebay and can vary in price up to sometime 80 - 90 euros but can sometimes be found for cheaper. Be careful though to check that it has the smurfs with it.
I am still missing this one.

Hi Joaquin, I just translated Sonstige on the web and concur with Rachel that this means "other" !!

Hi Pitufo
I think what Rach says (and also Mark says) is absolutely correct.
I have never liked the descrption of sonstige.....as it just seems to say..."oh yeah...if I missed any others then they are all the same and no need to mention them". From collecting different variations I can definately say that this is not true. I have many many variations that are not listed in the DSK and I have to say that virtually every different marking has its own characteristics that are worth mentioning.
However there is nothing better you can buy as a guide at this stage so it's good to take in as much as you can about the DSK as a starting base and then learn from there. The DSK will give you a great grounding in what's out there and it's fun to discover new variations that are not mentioned.

Hi,
I'm one of the sisters you have seen in passion.
About other inscriptions: I have a lot of smurfs who are not mentioned in the DSK. But i like them so I keep all different inscription. But yours could be a family smurf of the comic spain ones. If you could take a picture of him it would be nice.
About sonstige: I also think it's a word like others, but i know the guy who made this DSK and i will ask him for sure.
Please help me to remember this. I have a lot of smurfs in my head.
Greetings from Veronique (my sister)
Michelle

Thanks Attom
Rae, I have been meaning on asking Frank what are the plans for a new Katalog.....I will let you know what I hear. I am looking forward to seeing the changes in the new one as I have gone through all of the DSK editions and pointed out the changes for every smurf from one edition to the next. I am very interested to see what the changes will be in the new one.

Hi everyone,
About the new DSK: For this moment he's not making a new one, I know this because they ask every time some smurfs from our collection to put into the book. So when they ask me and my sister for some smurfs we will tell you on this forum.
For the moment we keep it with the red one.
