Here are quite a few pics of my collection that I took yesterday. I couldn't fit in up close shots of each shelf so I had to take 2 pictures of each shelf. I'm also waiting on my dad to build me another riser stand for the bottom ones. Enjoy!

Great collection!! I love the risers!! That is a great way to show them all off. Are they on a book shelf? Very nice of your dad to make those for you, He does realize that he will probably be makeing quite a few of them for you doesn't he??!! I mean once you start with the collecting again, there is no stopping.

Thanks for sharing.. :D

Excellent pics, Lacey! I agree, those risers are excellent - you can see all the smurfs nicely in the shelf :D

Yes, the smurfs are on the risers in a bookshelf. I love them. They make them so easy to see.

Does anyone else have the version of Papa with the book that I do? That version isn't in the catalog and I can't seem to find out anything about it. All the others have writing on them.

Hi Lacey, wonderful pics of your collection, Thanks for sharing them with us. :-D

I also think the risers you have on your shelves are a great idea, such a simple idea yet so effective, you can see all of your smurfs so well.

Yep, that seems to be the same one. Is it more common than the others or rarer? It's weird that it's not listed. :-?

Hi guys, I only have the Hong Kong markings (same as you Graham) but both mine have the writing on the cover. Do either of yours have the lines inside the book (on the pages)?

As far as I am aware, there is a variation without writing on the cover but I have only seen this one with W. Germany markings and a more clear "maths working" on the inside cover.

It could well be that you both have genuine variations, I am always a little dubious though of "missing" detail just in case it has been removed in the past, either by accident or on purpose. :D

I am currently going through our collection to update Blue Imps and I am always amazed by how many variations we are missing, another one to add to the list me thinks! :o

I put out some of my Supersmurfs and my big cottage. I'm going to my mom's tomorrow and I'm going to get the rest of my supersmurfs and little cottages and my windmill. I still need to bring over my prisoner, butterfly catcher, etc. Here is what I put up so far.

BTW, I checked and my papa with the book has black lines inside. No writing at all on the outside. On his arms is Schleich Peyo 82 Wallace Berrie Co. On his back is Hong Kong.

Okay, here are the pics
:)

Great collection Lacey :D

I'll go along with what everybody else has said about the risers, your dad had done a great job and it does make them easier to see. :)
When you need to grab a smurf to have a look at it will save having them all topple over like dominoes :x :)

Hi Lacey

I have already mentioned how great these pics are earlier this morning so I will just say that it's quite possible that the Papa with Book might of had the writing removed maybe deliberately or maybe by age. I am not aware of a HK variation with no writing on the cover although anything is possible of course.

Dyar

PS - I hope they don't make a Syd with Magazine Smurf in the future.
