Didn't Bernard's mother from the shop in Gallerie Louise used to know Peyo? Was she the one who got Peyo to get the figurines made by Schleich and Bully?

Yes she wrote me a letter last summer so it would be nice to meet her. I met Bernard and he told me about his mother. Also my friend Val from England has been to dinner with them and she told me about Odette and Peyo knowing each other. Will Odette be at Schtroumpf Passion?

Hi!!!!!!!!!Travelling around this fantastic forum, I´ve just found a topic I had not read, about a collector called Odette...I have felt a great emotion when I have read her relation with PEYO...

I must say, that she was one of the persons who enlivened to me to go on collecting smurfs...I visited her pretty pretty pretty shop about six years ago...I was on holidays in Belgium and Netherlands, and the last day, before going to the airport, I went there to spend all the money I had not spent in the travel... :) :) :) :) As most of you know it´s really imposible to find smurfs in Spain, so my collection was stopped for some years...I arrived "CHOU CHOU", and asked to the employee about smurfs. I said to her that I was a collector...Ah...it was fantastic...She began to show me smurfs I never had seen, and to speak about them...She was an old collector and explain to me that it was interesting to collect all the regular smurfs and after to begin with variations ( I didn´t know anything about variations, about catalogues, about other collectors)…I bought her some smurfs and when I arrived home, I knew I was going to continue collecting smurfs, thanks to this kind lady….She sent me a kind congratulations each christmas...

Last april I visited CHOUCHOU the day before PASSION, and she was not there, but her son and his wife...And the only smurfs I saw there, were normals and not rare smurfs...Do anybody know something about her? Is she collecting smurfs still?

PS: Thanks Xavier...You were the person that said to me her address...

Odette was at Passion in 2005, I think she talked to Rachel a few times. I have not had any further contact with her. I know when I went to the shop there wasn't that many smurfs there on display, just a few on the wall behind the door and the new ones, but then Bernard started pulling out large trays from behind the counter! :)
