Congrats Lia :)

I heard from an owner of a small toy store that he could get the new smurfs in December only when buying a Schleich christmas set for 1700€.

By the way: The new smurfs (both series) are official now (with their official names, for example: Smurfette :???:).

You can even take a look at the brochure (in different languages).
Thanks for the links Simon.

What Christmas set would that be??

Hi SmurfeeJo
Can you please let me know where in Australia I can buy the new smurfs. I live in Melbourne if that helps.

Cheers

Hi Jo
Thank you for your quick response. I looked at Toydreamer a couple of weeks ago though back then they weren't available.

Cheers

I treated myself and got hold of the ones I saw. I am only missing the bridal couple and the "Get well" smurf. :D (But I'm pretty sure that they just out of stock at the moment.)

I got the new smurfs this week.
I like them very much (except the big baby) : the theme is well expressed ; the smurfette in glass is top !
Good way to begin the year.
:)

Oh, well, for these ones, I can wait, I am not busy as I was for the others.
They are too ugly for me and too different from my old smurfs. But anyway I will buy for my collection. For the first ones of the movie, I hesitate buying them and finally did, so I know I will not resist.
:(
Of course I can understand why they look like half-smurfs half-men, business for new kids, but it does not mean I agree !

I understand Arno

I also prefers the old look on the Schleich PVC-smurfs. And since it seems Schleich sticks to the older looks on their new releases I assume they think the same??? The movie-sets are connected to the movie and then I assume they had to make them like that?? Maybe IMPS wanted PVC-smurfs for the movie?? In some cases they are just a manufacturer?? :-?

As a collector I will also buy them just like you. But I must say I like the Naughties. Maybe because I do not see them as smurfs, but more like figurines released before by Schleich like Scruple. :-? :D

There is one smurf-related figurine I would like Schleich to make and that is the King from the magic flute. He would be great with Johan and Pewitt. And also Homnibus. Maybe they should do a theme about the old movie the magic flute and bring back johan and pewitt also?? :-D

I went into Frankfurt last week & checked out the 2 department stores which sell Schleich products. Karstadt didn't have any of the new smurfs :(

Kaufhof only had three of them which all had rubs or bad paint jobs  It looks like I'll have to wait for a bit before I get the new set.

Hello everyone and Happy new year!!! How better to celebrate with some new smurfs... and a new movie coming up!!!!!!

But is it me or there is something a bit different about this year's set?

I mean, baby smurf for a start: He looks "evil"!!!!! :):):)

The party Smurfette is very reminiscent of the Dita Von Teese Martini glass moment... (google this if you are unsure)

And I am not going to say what I think the birthday cakes looke like...

Anyhow, it's probably me! Back to my cave now! :):):)
:dragon: I like the smell of Napalm, first thing in the morning...:dragon:

So, André, what did you learn with the breaking action ?!
Some markings unknown by those who are not able to cut poor PVC smurfs... ?
Anyway your picture made me think about what will probably happen to some of them : offered for marriage and... later cut for the divorce.

I was intersted in seeing how it was made and also I found the cavitynumbers on both smurfs. Just like all two-piece molds I believe that there should always be a cavitynumber on each mold. In this case Smurfette-bride has it on the backside of her dress and that you can only find it you take them apart. I was surprised though how difficult it was to take them apart. Amazing glue they use Schleich. I would need glue like that sometimes.

And it is also good to know that if you find the Groom with a hamburger it is NOT a official release by Schleich! :o

Eventhough it would be like this the new 2013 McDonalds smurfs should look like if you ask me!! :-D
