Today is World Smurf Day, and this morning in Rome they did the Smurf invasion with hundreds of smurfs placed in some famous landmarks (Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona, Colosseo, Vaticano).
This time the Smurfs were classic smurfs, and not the all white they put around Europe for the 50th anniversary.
Unfortunately noone anticipated the news, so I was not able to go to Rome in time for the event.

I remember someone posting here about Smurf Day. I saw that there will be an event in Lisbon, but allas, I'm slightly away and my parents/brother are out of the city too.

As far as I can tell nothing happened here at all

I had to work anyway so couldn't have participated but considering the pvc's are made in Germany you'd have thought there'd be something going on somewhere

There is one on UK ebay right now (search for global smurf day smurf), I am sure there will be more soon.

I would like one but I will wait a bit...we all know how crazy some of us get when something new comes us and drive the price to astronomical heights..(have been guilty of that myself in the past
