You're right about getting the message through. Many generations watch the smurfs and are affected by this. My opinion is still that it's too cruel. Has anyone thought how this affects the children? They don't understand UNIFEF and it's works.

Well my husband clapped and cheered when he saw them being blown up, he is so nasty.

I think that as long as people keep to the 9pm watershed rules then there is no reason for kids to see it. Personally I think it is a reminder to us all that kids are having to grow up too quickly.

I like the fact that it reminds us of the very basic human (smurfy) values of the smurfs. It's distressing but personally it's made me think much further than the message about war.
