Hi at all,
I had recently won this lot (Sorry Tine for having overbidded you). It arrived today:

http://cgi.ebay.de/Seltene-Schluempfe_W ... dZViewItem

There are two marking variations (I had never thought I would once care about that... :) ) for me in the lot: West Germany Schleich pupil and Applause TM CE umbrella smurf (interesting marking by the way). But three other smurfs of that lot are far more interesting:

1. a green Quacksalber with silver cap without markings. I guess it is a polish fake? Or does anyone here know more about him?

2. a faked hangglider. He has no markings and the back of his wings are completly red, the material is different. Any information about him (polish too?) ?
3. The weirdest smurf in the lot: The indian with different feathers. He looks (shoes, trousers, blue back of his head) like the Hong Kong variations and even has the marking:
SCHLEICH S
c PEYO MADE IN HONG KONG W. BERRIE CO.
But his feathers are in the colours red, black and light green...The only possibility for me to explain that would be that the smurf is a repaint...But the feather lying down is completly white and not black like the normal HK indian. The feather's green by the way looks nearly the same as the quacksalber's green...

So, if anyone here has any information about one of these smurfs, please tell me...Especially the indian is confusing me... :) :D

Hi, Simon!!!!!I think I can´t help you this time...I only can say you that the hanglidder is really GREAT, and please...if you decide to stop collecting smurfs, can you tell me your secret to find cheap and wonderful smurfs on ebay????? :) :)

PS: as you say, it is odd that the green of indian is the same green than the green of quacksalber... :-? :-? :-? :-? :-?

Hi Simon,
congrats for that smurfs ... although you had outbidded me but :o
But I'm not clear but I suspect these are all polish fakes.
Maybe the easiest way is to ask the seller directly because very often they know the story of their childhood toys....

I would also say they are polish fakes, but are there existing any polish fakes like the indian with HK-markings???

And I have contacted the seller (lives in Leipzig), good idea...He did not know much about them and has only bought the (original Schleich) pupil and the indian by himself in an "Intershop" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intershop ) in about 1987/88...
So, does anyone know something about the Intershops's smurfy product range? :)

hi Simon!

awesome smurfs you found, love them!

the green Indian and Quack are really unusual, I havn't seen these before,

not sure if these are polish, as polish smurfs usually have bad faces, but

these are really cool! and rare.

Hi Simon, that is a fabulous lot. I can't really give any info but I agree, the Indian is interesting, the markings indicate it could be real and maybe just repainted but it is odd the feather was left white. :-?

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

Hey Simon

Really nice smurfies once again. The Hang-glider looks like a miscellaneous grotesque fake (basically any smurf unidentified) but the Indian looks like an authentic HK smurf that has been repainted to me. I guess the only way to tell would be to remove some of the green paint but he looks really interesting with the different colours so I would leave him as is.

I love the green Quacksalber.....he is really cool

Happy New Year
