I was wondering whether anyone could tell me anything about the 20031 Xmas postie as I've managed to win one on ebay.

I was wondering when they were made (just 1 year or over successive years) & just how rare these are. I see on Rachels site that the heart version was available from 1978 - 2000.

I've got several of the normal posties with the heart on his letter including the handstamp version but I've always liked the look of the holly version better & would love to know something about him.

Hi Tojo, congratulations on a nice variation. :-D

I am not sure for how long they were available for but I am pretty certain they weren't available everywhere. Certinaly not USA and I don't think all of Europe either. They are pretty common here in the UK so it could well be they were part of the National Petrol Station promotions.

I am sure I have read some info on them in an old SCCI newsletter so I will try and find it again. :D

Personally, Imuch prefer the holly variations to the heart variations. :grinning:

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......
