[The Smurf Collector]

Recently Tommo showed us a Viking Smurf (#20430) that was made out of white pvc and not blue.

Which makes me think, how many Smurfs are there that are made out of both blue and white pvc material.

Here are some that I can think of but I know there should be more

I was also thinking this Kath, but instead with Smurfs that are always a certain pvc for that country’s mold i.e. W.Germany molds where they are a base colour pvc will generally have a Hong Kong equivalent which will be white pvc, but which ones of the W.Germany mold will have white pvc molds… if that makes sense?

I also wonder if they stopped with the coloured moulds when they started adding the date stamp to the Smurfs. At the end of 2009.

Looks like I might need to update my list of Smurfs to include PVC colour.

What about the Rugby Smurfs?

The Rugby ones are a good point Kath, but it's the reverse: they started off in blue pvc for a short time then went to white pvc I keep seeing Fitness more and more in white pvc with the different markings so it seems they sporadically changed to white pvc for some reason, which I now remember and has to do with Praying Christmas Smurf (which needs to be added to the list): it was if Schleich weren't happy with the colour of the pvc for a certain batch. Just remembered there's a Gargamel Mask in blue pvc, plus the different coloured pvc for the Baby smurfs
