I received some new stock of Baby with Blocks this week. Most are with black paint dot. A couple of them have a splodge of white paint which has been PAINTED OVER the black paint dot! One of them you can see the black paint dot slightly on the edge of the white paint. I thought it was just a paint error but then found another with a definite splodge of white paint. I haven't see anything like this before and thought it was quite bizarre so thought I'd share some pics with you.

They are W.Germany markings.

I don't see bum, I see paint dot! I reckon if I found a paint dot on my husband's bum I would be so pleased that I would post it without thinking!

maybe they didn't want to expose his little butt, so they covered up the dots!???

Don't the paint dots tell you where the smurf was painted? If so maybe the paint dots get put on as a raw so that the company knows where the smurf is being sent to (country or painter) so maybe the cover up is because they pre dotted some smurfs that then went somewhere else.

It makes more sense in my head then what I tried to write hopefully someone understand what I am trying to say

I have no idea why this has been done. Gerda, I don't know about all but certainly quite a few figures have their dots over another colour already painted on so I can't see them adding dots to raw figures.
