Hi guys,

just wondering if you could help out with identification of this guy;
Image

He has Hong Kong upside down on the front of his shorts and
Shleich 1980 PEYO on the back of his shorts.

A V neck shirt, all white uniform with black rims on the neck, sleeves, socks and a stripe on the pants.

I believe I got him here in NZ and he looks to have been a keychain.

He is about .5 cm taller than the others of the same mould and he has this HUGE tail !! :eek:
Oh, and his boots look more like loafers

(And he'll be joing Syd Smurf sometime soon !!!)

Rachel.

Is this the same guy who's listed as German national team in the DSK?

If so he seems to have his own Schleich number.

It makes more sense to me that he's A Kiwi soccer player as the German team strip looks and has never looked like this

I have received this smurf (a big thank you to Rachel from NZ fro trading with me) and I have to say I believe this is a New Zealand only smurf after hearing from both Daryl & Rachel from when they were younger. The markings are Hong Kong which would fit with being a smurf released more so in either the US/Aust or New Zealand for the 1982 world cup. This smurf originally came with the keyring which is also different to the other smurfs in the Katalog and fits with the design of the New Zealand All Whites from the guys here who would know.

I think we might of discovered a new promo smurf that not many people knew of previously...I certainly wasn't aware of this one although Daryl being a Kiwi certainly did of course. Do you have one of these now Daryl?

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......
