One of my uncle found in a box of shoes in his attic this gnome, I knew I had seen it before as a smurf item related and I looked in the dsk IV and found out at page 301 #11 that it was a gnow so my question is why were they created because they actually dont look like smurf partly because of the colour and my 2nd question is wats this brand... its written empire 1978 under it and made in honk kong wat is it EMPIRE??? with a big crown and there is a heart in relief

you'll notice a couple were originally blue gnomes, but the company

had to change their color to orange, yellow etc.

they were similar characters to the smurfs which is why they are collectable.

Hi Samismurf, Attom is the top man for these so I cam't really add anything. Always good to find nice items in the attic though.
