Hi guys, I had a new arrival today which has stumped me a bit. :scratchinghead:

It was described in the auction as no markings and this was a variation that I was after but I had a bit of a shock when it arrived. This one isn't made of the normal red / brown PVC which I believe the variation without markings should have, this one is made from white PVC and has a silver spear top as opposed to the normal white one. There are no markings as such, but there is a definite number 2 on the bottom of the spear but I can find no mold number marking on any of my others.

It could be a fake and don't mind at all if it is because I don't think I have spotted many fake Jungle smurfs around anyway but the quality of it is generally good, the PVC feels fairly normal and although this example isn't in the best of conditions, the paint job looks fairly good too. Possibly a CNT???

Attom, guys and dragons, any info would be greatly appreciated. :helpsign: :pleasehelp: :? :pleasehelp: :helpsign:

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

HI Rachel

I think he is fake ..

I have a couple of these, you can tell by his nose and the silver tip on the spear. I find these very nice, and well made.

here is a page with some

you'll see your cute jungle here http://www.geocities.com/attombomb7/Pageone.html

Thanks Attom, you are a star. :star: :adore: :star:

I did have a quick look around your site but couldn't find him. Great to see yours, yep, mine looks like your FAKE, no markings
$45.euro
one. :D

Yes I noticed his nose as well and this was one of the things that made me think he might be a fake. :-D

Do any of yours have a number on the back bottom of his spear?

hi Rachel!

mine does not have any number or markings, but he does have the same

nose, hard to tell in the photo. your jungle smurf looks a bit lighter in color and his spear is farther away from his body.

the other one I own is similar to my other one.

so you may have a different fake?

Nice one, Rachel and Attom. I don't have this one yet, but I recently received a near mint Jungle with the raised 1973 mark (and the rather flashy, orangy colour), which is pretty rare as well. So I'm happy :-D
:sheep: Bored of normality, why not go smurf? :sheep:
