Oooh, I am excited now, can't wait to see pics. Not such great news about the building be discontinued though.

Interesting choice of new smurf, they all seem to be the original characters. Could it be ready for a film release maybe or am I just wishing.

I wonder what the new ones will be like? Just reproductions of older figures or totally new versions. I really hope they are totally new. Still in the same older style but maybe different poses.

It is a shame there are no new bulidings or playsets and really a little bit worrying what is being discontinued altogether. Surely there is already quite a huge revival going on in the smurf collection world and if as the talk goes, there is a smurf movie in the pipeline a huge revival would probably happen. In that respect, it does seem like an odd time to reduce production.

Any hints on what: 20889 Assortment may be?

This will be a seller's box of the new smurfs. You know like you see the football smurfs in a presentation box? That is assortment number 20888, the mini catalogues have their own code as well. I've got lots of the boxes left for the football smurfs, these won't be available in boxes next year I shouldn't think, so if anyone wants a box please shout! They are free except for p&p. Schleich's agents in the UK had made strong hints to me that these were the ones being discontinued this year, obviously they got it wrong.
