I find it amazing that Schleich has produced some smurfs for so long and others just for a short while. I know they probably base this on sales figures but you'd think the smurf sleeping at the desk is just about as if not more popular than the smurf sleeping in the bed
Sometimes it is strange Maureen,
Many of the normals were only sold for 2 years, like marchingbandsmurfs, referee, climber, caretaker, nameplate, paperboy, sportman etc.
But maybe they look at all the smurfs they have for sale at the same time. For example the schooldesks, they had 6 supersmurf schooldesk and teachers at the same time and maybe desided just to keep 3, schooldesk, papa with blackboard and smurfette at desk. I don´t think there were a market for 6 schoolsupers????
Could be the same sometimes with the other. Maybe they compare how many sportsmurfs they have, how many smurfettes etc and look at the whole range also. Together with the sales figures.
