I couldn't spot this box in your picture of the boxes, so I thought I'ld add it here. It's the normal old box, but theUS version instead of the German (or European). And as the auction title says, made in Honk Konk :-)

Honk Konk...lol

Yes I haven't got one of these yet and would love to get one for my collection. It's amazing that they made so many boxes for each item. I guess it makes sense that they make one now for everywhere.

There is another box that I have seen as well that I hope to be buying soon.

Hi Fram

Here's a pic of another box for the Cottages that I won overnight. I hadn't seen this one before it was listed and despite the fact that I couldn't bid very high this week...I was still able to win which I thank the gods for.

Nice cottage, nice packaging. I thought the new ones always had come in the new box (two styles :-) ), but apparently not...

I've seen those newer type cottage boxes mainly on US ebay. It looks like the smurf that come with it is missing though :-?

Hi Stace

Do you know what smurf was meant to go with this package? I noticed that it looked like there was meant to be a smurf with the box...or at least something...maybe I will threaten Syd with blister packing when he misbehaves next. :)

Hi Dyar, I am not 100% sure but I think it is Snappy. I will go and see if I can confirm it a bit later. :D

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

Thanks Rach & Stace...it does look like Snappy fits into the plastic mould. I will have to get a spare one and place him back in the box sometime.

Hi Fram

On the back of the box for the orange cottage that I won recently it shows the 3 different ones of these. The one I have with snappy, the blue one with the Flautist like in your post and the 3rd one is the new Smurfette house with.....bet you can't guess.....nope....you would think a smurfette wouldn't you....but it actually comes with Baby with Car (20215)....no idea why :-?

Thanks for posting that other one though as that looks interesting :D

Dyar,
You mentioned that all your cottages with heart shaped windows in the doors have unpainted butterflies, well I have one that I bought brand new as a child. It has a red roof with a painted butterfly. I got it while on holiday in Holland in 1988.

:-?

This is the red house with Snappy, and the seller has the other two ones as well, blue with flautist and purple with baby with car. Not expensive as well.

Hi Trish....well you have proven another exception to the rule....so you can have painted ones too. Thanks for your contribution as this report is all about trying to get as much info on these as possible and your experience of buying the one with a painted butterfly is very welcome and helpful to know.

Dyar has left the cottage

If anyone wants the old Italian box for the small house, there's one available here. It claims that it is the house with its box, but I doubt that they came together...
