I have gone months at a time without buying smurfs so I get a little over dramatic and go overseas to sulk......
Dyar
And here I was thinking you go overseas to buy smurfs :-?

I don't call that overdramatic...I call that sensible

But then I have never been known for having much sense...so I guess you are right... for once...there is a first for everything

Well....going to TN could be considered over dramatic :) :) :)

I do find I lose a bit of interest in smurfs when I cannot add to my collection. I was used to searching ebay daily and sharing some nice new arrivals with the members here on the forum.....I was always learning new things when I added something different or new to my collection.....since I have not been doing that, I do find I am not getting the same joy that I once did. That is not to say I have lost my passion for smurfs of course....it just has been lowered slightly due to less interaction with them which I am sure a lot of us have done from time to time.

PS - Just a joke Moke :cheek:

if visiting TN is considered over dramatic...try moving here :o

If your interest is fading..try creating a smurf room, that will get you involved again :winks:....until you are smurfed out again.. :) :)

Seriously, I think everbody gets thru those spurts from time to time..sometimes they last longer though..you know when that thing called life gets in the way :D

Well at the very least I shall be changing my petunias for cactii
Thanks Sue, I collect cacti too so that is a bargain for me. :bolt:

A smurf room is also a great way of keeping the interest going as is a website so you can at least play smurfs when new ones aren't arriving. :D

Why is it called "common sense" when it is so rare.......

I think life is much more interesting than smurfing.... for me it's just filling in those times when life gets boring...I better hide because I think everyone may try to take away my smurf license now. :sprint::sofa: I do love smurfs though, so don't get me wrong, as it's a great hobby just not top priority all the time :D :)

Yes but top priority for you fishy is swimming to the top of your fish tank for air....the rest of the time you just keep swimming around thinking you have added the same new smurf to your collection every 5 mins.

Well, I hate to admit it...I do agree with Stace...partly at least..I think smurfing is very interesting..if I didn't think so, I wouldn't be collecting them and buying them like I am...but I do agree....that I tend to buy more (more as in going overboard, not just buying one or two a week) when I am bored and tired..

I know some people (not naming any names here  :dory: kidding guys :) ) think I am still buying like crazy, but honestly compared to a year ago I have cut back a whole lot (I am no longer expecting 200 smurfs a week to come in the mail :D )... I have just been buying more special smurfs lately and been posting them more :-D because...if I can't share them with you guys...who am I going to share them with????? :( :(

:) :) :)

ok, I don't believe that much myself, but honestly I have been cutting back, I am just still buying more than most :???: :-D

my sentiments exactly Joaquin..I guess that it's different collecting smurfs now as opposed to in the 70's. Now you daren't share any information with other collectors via the web for fear of it being copied and faked, this I think is where it hurts our hobby so much..if you can't share interesting discoveries with each other then that can only be a bad thing.
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

It's ok Tojo.....I stick with the older Smurfettes like the 20034 ones and stay away from the newly born Classic Ones which are just jail bait really.

Sassette (and the other male Smurflings for people like Catholic Priests) are just something that should never even be contemplated.
