I also like them but I was hoping for different boxes for each set, but I guessed they would use the same because of the "economical" aspect!

I would love to see if the boxes are printed different with articelnumbers or not??? Because they look the same from the front??

I know there are 5 articlenumbers. But the intresting thing is if they printed these numbers on the boxes or maybe used a sticker or something similair???

So are there 5 different boxes or only one with sticker??

The same as with the box. I was hoping for different ones, but in this case I guess the same. Because of the economicel aspect the boxes are probably exactly the same but labeled different, but I am hoping for different markings!!! :D

André, your eyes are ok, I wondered too! Sometimes 5, sometimes 6 smurfs. :-?

Maybe the pics are from some kind of a "pre-release" or are press-photos and we will see the final boxes and sets later.

But - thanks for the thread, the pics and these info so far !! :D
though I smurf in the darkest valley I have no fear.
cause in this valley I could be the smurfiest!

I think the 6 pack smurfs are going to sell better simply because it's a better deal than buying them seperate. And most non collectors would look at this when picking them up, I know if I did not care about smurfs and just wanted a gift I would say.. hey this one has six for the same price i'll get that one instead. But i'm a nut so I look instead at WOW these will easily display nice. We need a good shrink on the forum :) :)

I guess, the smurfette in the cake didn't fit into the box...other than that it looks to me like they used the smurfs per series which would explain why some boxes hold more smurfs.

Kinda odd to see the "out of series" Gargamel and Azrael with the smurfs of their own size though :o

And apparently, they have a huge stock of the remaining classic smurfs leftover :) :)

Any guess, if any of these will be discontinued this year?

I'd be most interested to see what markings these smurfs have. I guess there might be three possibilities.

Anybody interested in getting these, let me know as I will order them online (free shipping) and should be able to order as many as possible :D

seeing how it does not look like these are shrink wrapped into the box but rather held by those oh so wonderfull :banghead: metal twist ties, they should be easier to remove and replace so checking for markings would be easier... still not going to do it.. i'll leave that to Maureen :o

Thanks to Moey for emailing me the photos of the boxes today...I was driving home to exercise and make dinner when I got the email on my phone, so instead I drove straight past home and went right over to Toys R Us to see if they had them on the shelves. And they did! I am annoyed that they used extremely similar smurfs in three different boxes but being a collector, I had to get one of each box anyway.

And yes, Andre the article numbers are printed on the bottom of each box. No sticker though and like Gerda I am not pulling these smurfs out of the metal twist tie cages they are in. It actually would ruin the box because you'd have to open the entire bottom and it'd be impossible to put them back in the ties properly. These are too pricey at the moment to get two of each so I will wait to see if they go on clearance (all of the smurf stuff at TRU goes on clearance after awhile because I guess they haven't sold as well as expected). So if I get an extra set cheaper, then I will take them out to check smurf markings.

I have attached photos of each from an angled view so you can see all the smurfs in there. The front on photos online blocked some of the smurfs. :D

Well i would, since probably no one will buy this, it's going to be a collectors item......... in say 20 years........ very very rare. :-D

I see what you mean, but for a collector i think it's no problem.

Thanks for showing the pictures Staci !!!!!!!!!

OMG - I love these, can anybody in the US get me a full set if I paypal the money? I do wish TRU in the UK would stock these :banghead:
Long, long ago, deep in the forest, there was a hidden village where tiny creatures lived. They called themselves the Smurfs. They were good.

Those sets look very nice indeed :-D It is a bit strange about the 41248 & 41245 sets though :-?

I wonder whether these sets will turn up in Europe as well or whether these are just geared at the US market.....

According to Schleicher these so faar are only possible to buy in US.

So let´s hope the sell good and maybe they will be released here to??? :-?

I would like more accessories though, to make them more "playable" for children. My guess is that they would sell better then.
I think a set with cottage or house togehter with a few accessories and a few smurfs would be sooooooo beautiful and great to play with!! :-D But I guess you already know my opinion now!!
