After countless lost auctions I finally won my last missing ceramic..the smurf with the heart. How perfect to arrive during Valentine's week
I know he isn't complete, as he doesn't say I love you, but his heart speaks the right language so it is fine with me
especially since I got him for $3.50...who I am to complain or say no
I also got a nice package from John (Hugofilia) which included the gardener with unpainted mouth and eyes (my first "something unpainted on a smurf" smurf
)
and a new French sockel..I wasn't sure if it is a fake or not until I just now checked David's site and it is in green (another
)
I do need help with the translation though ...What does the sockel say?
Avis! Vous etes invite.....le
Is it something like...??? You are invited.... the.....

Some very nice additions Sub-Maureen......I particularly like the drummer sockel....isn't it funny....we tend to really like the items we don't have yet.
However the Gardener is cool....how is John these days? I haven't talked to him for a long time it seems?

'Sub-Maureen' - can you please explain what this means, Dyar?

Well I was gonna answer yoru question Duckie but it seems I don't need to anymore......my work was done for me while I slept. I wonder if I can get my daytime work done for me while I sleep too....that would free up a lot more time to come on here and waffle properly like I used to.
John is a really nice guy who most of us have dealt with at some stage throughout our collecting. Thanks to John, I was able to get some of the harder smurfs in the basic collection which I was really pleased about.

I got more....yep..I am in the buying mood again...actually I will stop again, but I have a few very nice things on the way, among them two yellow scarf chimney sweepers, Hilary helped me to find
Today, I got the best medication for a tough week.....the yellow scarf sledder and a new French sockel....if anybody can help me translate it I really really really appreciate it....
Today's arrivals came from our very own Elvis

Might not be 100% correct but translation is something like "You see I smurf you a good aniversary!"
PS - The fist one is a hard one, but you got the point "You have been invited... the..."
But I'm having some dificulty to put the puzzle togther and make sense of what is suppose to be on the "....." Maybe a name, date and/or location?

Lovely new smurfs, Maureen
That I love you ceramic has so far eluded me, it's the last one i need to finish off the ceramics. I'm hoping to find one with the I love you sticker still on it though, they just don't seem to come up that often

You're welcome Moey!
It was fun.
Can't wait to see them when they arrive. The seller's photos weren't great. Love your new pieces too.

Congrats on all your new things.
The drummer has always been one of my favorites. The ceramic is very cute. That is exciting that you have completed your set. I still haven't managed to get even one.
