My mum says I should put my smurfs on display (at the moment I keep them in a box) - is there a display thing out there (one I can hang on the wall)? How do other people display theirs?? :-?

I have mine in a book cupboard which has glass doors on it (stops them from getting too dusty). Between the original 4 shelves I've added another 4 shelves made of perspex so I can display lots more smurfs. I'm starting to run out of space though so I may have to pack the houses away in the near future to make space for more smurfies.

There have been other discussions here about display cabinets & I think that Ikea has some nice ones.

I should look for a cupboard with doors unless you like dusting & washing your smurfs.

Emi,
If you check out the Smurf Landscaping & Smurfy Display section on the forum, there are a lot of great ideas for displaying your smurfs. :D

Did you think about putting the smurfies into the mushroom houses?

No...they only go in the houses when they sleep

Mine are all in glass-cabinets.
But when I've started to collect I did it on a shelf. You can do as you want, from the moment you like it, it means you have your own way!

Hi Emi

I have mine in a large set up butterfly draws, so I can pull the draws out and see them at a glance, whilst still keeping the dust and light off. I line the draws with absorbant paper towels so any humidity is absorbed and the PVC doesn't stick to the draw itself. The solution seems to work well.

Unfortunately despite having 15 levels to the "smurfing complex" I have run out of room and have them in boxes too. Some of the larger smurfs dont fit in the draws either.

Maureen's right Gert, my smurfs never sleep. You should hear the racket at night while I'm trying to get some rest :banghead:
