Hi guys,

as you might know, I came across a Papa Magic book with the "magic" written in red letter and the pages with the maths formular at a Belgian fleamarket for 0,50 Euro yesterday.
Since mine has not the writing I know that the "Silan" writting might come off easily and mine doesn't have Silan at all, I wonder what kind of a variation that smurf might be and how to distinguish between the Silan promo and the actual pvc.
The marking of that smurf is "Hong Kong. ©1983, W.Berrie and Co."
One argument for Silan is: Silans are to be found more likely in Belgium"
One argument for the actual pvc is: There might be a variation of that supposed to be "W.Germany" smurf exist.

I will take pics of that smurf as of tomorrow and put it up by Monday afternoon.
Anyone help me, please? :?

Hi Dom,
I don't know too much about this variation but did you check out Dyar's site? He's got the HK WB but it's not in red writing :-?

Hi Staci,

thanks for recommending Dyar's website. I noticed that mine looks identical to the one with the description:
MARKINGS: Hong Kong W Berrie Co 1983
DESCRIPTION: FRONT VIEW
4. cream coloured Book with red Symbols on Cover,
dark blue Skin . :)

I don't remember having seen one with the red lettering on it...I'd be interested in seeing a picture when you have a chance, Dom :D
