also two very odd fakes... from England...

the orange one is very rare!...I have about a dozen of the blue ones..

if you want fakes i just have put 1 on ebay which is a pretty rare fake

Nice smurfs Attom, cool drummers and I love that variation of the spy smurf.

The fakes that you show, do they have some sort of a fabric covering them. They look really familiar. I am not sure if someone was even asking me about them very recently.

and yes Rachel ..they are covered in a peach like fuzz...

they are actually Christmas ornaments...


hollow plastic with fuzz... and not licenced..from the early 1980's

the eyes are paper stickies.

btw do you also collect marking varaitions because there are a few rares in them if you need better pictures or what the marking are feel free to ask i know i havent got the best camera

Pekkelien, I've just seen your eBay listing, and the Dupuis smurfs you offer are the Dupuis Union Smurfs. These are not the first Smurfs ever (that are the Dupuis Smurfs (no Union), which have a different pose, two hands similar, bigger feet, and are way better made than the rather ugly Dupuis Union Smurfs). The Dupuis Union Smurfs are from the early seventies and are made after the Schleich molds. I hope you don't mind me correcting you, it doesn't change their rarity or value (certainly outside of Belgium).

Attom, I've just bought the spy with the completely red cape myself (for a full Euro), so I guess I know how you feel know: excited

yeah i know how they are the dupuis i got 1 a small whone from dupuis the gold whone he has a value off 150 euro i searched 2 years after him
and they would be in belgium but they are hard to find
what does the union mean?

Beats me, I'm still looking for more information on the Union Smurfs, haven't found it yet though

i think they have something in common however dupuis ( dupuis union)
i know dupuis is the publicer of the books here in belgium

I like the odd rough look of the dupuis unions..they are almost like bad fakes!

I have a real dupuis black one..the small one.. I got by accident on a cheap lot..I thought it was a fake..but its a dupuis..

and I also saw Saussard win those Dupuis small ones he got!
he out bid me on those..! and they were nice..
at the time I was too dumb to know they were so rare!!

Hi Attom

Nice smurfs from Christine. I had those in watching and was going to bid until i saw your name as the winning bidder. There is usually so many other smurfs I want to purchase that I can still do this and not feel like I have nothing else to bid on which is good I think.

Those fuzzy wuzzy smurfs are weird. I haven't seen those before either...I have now though.
