pin cushion - made of red material

Hi to all,

would like to show you pics of my pin cushion with box, made of red material. The box has no markings outside nor inside.

The ivory boxes looks different coloured because of the flashlight only. They have markings on the bottom outside. The cushion on the white in the middle looks more tall because the taylor isn't screwed, not fixed.

Is anyone out there with another red one?

The only thing I don't undersand about this post is you said the box has no markings, I see lots of markings on the boxes in the pic's. Am I missing something? Or is there another box that I don't see? By the way those are all lovely items. Which I don't have any of. Hilary you and I should go in a corner and cry on each other's shoulder. :) :)
P.S. I might have just figure out that you were talking about the actual round box and not the box in the background. :banghead: Sorry my mistake.

I can see you can open the box on the red one.

You can´t do this on the ivory one, right???

I can´t find a way to open mine and I don´t want to destroy it by trying to open it. :)

Mine ivory one has the markings: Schleich S, C 80 Peyo, W. Germany.

André,

I can open both of my ivory, but haven't for the pics, sorry.

Ok, the lid is made very exactly, nearly 1/10 mm smaller than bottom, it is to open without any force.

I opened the red for pics to show there are no markings inside.

My both ivory are marked on outside of bottom: Schleich S, C 80 Peyo, W. Germany

@ bwalters: you're right, I'm talking about markings on the round boxes, not on the cardboard box.

Thanks,

I managed to open it now.

I guess nobody had opened it for a while and as you said it is very exact. It is impossible to see where it can be opened when the lid is on.

Yes André,

here we have. I bought them on Sept-05-2001, these boxes appears in the market short before if I'm right.

I don't know why at that late time, and why have they so long be "undiscovered" and were not mentioned in any Schleich catalogue before (as far as I can remember).

The lids for these boxes have less gap and closes/opens harder than the lids of the pin cushions.

Lovely,

do these have the same markings?

And where they sold in boxes like the pincushion?

They have all the same markings on outside of bottom: Schleich S, C 80 Peyo, W. Germany

I have never seen that with a cardboard box, I believe such a box doesn't exist. They were mainly sold even in plastic bags, or without a cover.

a good question, the last years I haven't checked the smurfs on the boxes if there are variations, I should do that in future.

Sorry, I do not know if there are german or french writings on the heart, or even english only.

AFAIK the writing on the box lid is always in english as shown, I haven't seen and noticed german writing on the lid.
