It is nice to see that the smurfs have found their way back to the toycatalogues sent out with the mail before christmas. :D

It seems that more and more of the toystores in Sweden have Schleich animals and smurfs in the stores. ??? :-? Let´s hope it continues like this. :D

I haven't seen any smurfs in any catalogues over here in the US....but like you guys I keep checking just in case.

That's a nice pic André.

I remember buying Smurfs from Anette in Sweden and the totals always sounded like a lot of money before I converted it back to the Australian dollar. I haven't talked to Anette for a long time but I hope she's doing well.

Dyar,

Sweden is like Greatbritain with the currencies. Both countries have joined the EU but we still have our own currencies. The euro is about 10 swedish crowns, so it is pretty easy to get a approx. cost. Like these smurfs cost 45 swedish crowns and that is about 4,5 euro. And the cottages are 170 swesih crowns and that is 17 euro.
The best way for me is to buy online from Germany, but then I have to buy more because of the shippingcost. :)

But for example big barn from Schleich costs 120 euro in Sweden and I can get it for 75-85 euro in Germany. So Sweden is not the first option if you are a smurfcollector and want to buy smurfitems. :)

I have got a few answers from Anette in the email this year ( august regarding the sign over the letter u on the smurfa TSL and SLA singer)and that time she asked me to say hello to all you collectors and she was happy that you still "keep smurfing" on the forum. But she had a lot to do after moving to a new house etc. I have tried to reach her last month regarding potential swedish sockelsmurfs, but I have not got any answer yet.

I don´t know if she still has part of her collection on the toymuseum in Stockholm. If you will visit Stockholm, could be a place to visit. :o

Thanks André

It's good to know Anette is still around. She was always very nice to deal with back when I collected Smurfs very intensely. I think I used to figure out the Swedish crown by dividing it by 5 to get a very close Australian dollar amount. It was very very close from memory....at least 5 or so years ago.

That was interesting about her collection being in the toy museum in Stockholm. I never knew that and will definately find out more when I get to Stockholm someday. That would be a cool place to visit.
