Blue Cavern

I just went to the P.Off during my lunch break because I had one of those cards that says that something blue & white is ready to be picked up. Anyway I was a happy Dyar because it was my Astro playset that came today.

The markings are Hong Kong W Berrie (not sure if it's "co" or "& co" as I have packed it back up. It looks really cool and I am surprised at how small the rocket is. I thought it would be bigger than what it is...anyway I suppose that's the joy of getting an item you didn't have before because you learn about these things.

The helmet on the Astro isn't in great condition as it looks like it has marks all on the inside from either trying to clean it or something. I could replace it with one of the new ones but wouldn't that devalue the item more?

The auction was won without the Wagon & the plastic bit that fits in the door and also the box....bugger but I am happy anyway and I may be able to pick up some of the other bits down the line.

Awesome, Drew! You've inspired me to find a moon set to bid on as well Seeing as I don't want anyone else to find it via this board, I'm not posting the auction here There is still quite some time left to go so I will enjoy being high bidder for as long as I can :cup:

No mine didn't come with a box unfortunately...I will have to look for another one....gee someone has just showed me one...cool....j/k. No that one would look cool in your tank Stace.

I have nowhere to put it just like the Lake display but I will find somewhere I suppose. I think the whole room needs a new makeover to best fit in all of the smurfs....I think a smurf room no.2 might be out of the question even though I did say to Mrs Dyar that we could sleep on the lounge and it could be realy cozy like....but I think she wants to keep the bedroom for sleeping at the moment......party pooper.

PS - It seems the auction featured 2 rocks from the Chain Gang super as I don't believe these came with the original Moon set.

My one doesn't have any markings on it either so I guess it would be impossible to tell unless you had one of each (HK & Macau) to be able to compare to each other. I get the feeling that there would be a slight colour difference so hopefully someone can let us know if they have both.
