One thing I didn´t notice before is that it seems Applause in 1991 sold the smurfette with teapot and cup as a normal without table??? Marked Applause made in China CE.

I didn't know that either...maybe they thought the little table and pots were a child hazard? :-?

The interesting part is that they also released the complete super in the applause super box :-?

I think it was like this Maureen.

if you compare the catalogues from W. Berrie 1983 and 1984.

In 1982 W. Berrie and Applause joined and in 1984 they changed to the new logo with applause. So all boxes made from 1984 by W.Berrie are lightblue!!! :-D

If you check you see that smurfette in car was sold 1983. But then they stopped with it 1984. Then it was sold again later and then in the new applause box.

So the lightblue boxes are from 1984-1986 and only made between these years. Goes very well with moonset, bedroom, superboxes, pop-up sets etc. In 1987 they changed the name completly to only Applause.

The reason smurfette in car and jokey with gargamel in box are not that common in these boxes are that these only were made 1986!! :-D

So in the lightblue teaset super goes only W.Berrie marked smurfette!!! The Chinamarked smurfette was not made then.

Applause China should be displayed just like on Dyars site as a normal without table, or actually a super without accessorie!! :-D

I have to add this also.

When Schleich got financial problems and made changes they stopped making smurfs in Hongkong and same goes with the boxes.

And that is the reason the lightblueboxes are rare.
They were only made during 1984,1985 and 1986.

In 1987 they started making some of these in Macau instead and as faar as I know then they used the german boxes for both moonset and westernset. :-? :D

This is the logo they only used during these years. :-D

With both Applause and W. Berrie writing. And printed in Hongkong.
