I watched an auction with a windmilldisplay in perfect condition on ebay last week.
I did not buy it but it is always nice to see that some items still has a very high value compared to the DSK IV prices.
It was sold for 965 euro and the value in the DSK IV is 350 euro.

Andre, was it the motorized windmill?

Yes,
it was, Maureen!
I don´t have that one so I watched that auction. But it was way to high for me, eventhough it is a awesome piece.
I actually prefer that one before the smurf castle and treestump because of the material. The rubbermaterial in smurf buildings and accessories are just guaranteed to become worse and worse for every year.
Here is the auction:

Notice all the nice pictures. As you see also the stands for the mushroom-roof on the side has "squares" in the base to hold them in place. That also tells us that extra part in the mold for the board to hold ladder, was most likely added because of this motorized windmill. I think they had to do these extra adjustments to keep all parts in place when it was rotating??
Can´t help loving the very large box for the set also. Though maybe just a original schleich box they use to pack many other items in. I have also boxes like that, so I don´t think it was a special one for the display.
The year says 1986 on the box.

I wonder if the skipped the "crank" on this set?? Because when having a motor you don´t need that to manually rotate the windmill!

Wow...that is in perfect condition.
I agree with you, Andre...If I'd have a choice between the three, I would choose the motorized windmill which you seem to be able to display without any negative impact to it...of course, if given the choice, I would choose all three...as if that is going to happen

never say never as I certainly never thought it would happen to me
andre, it would make sense that they left the crank out because if you think about it, if someone started to manually crank it you run the chance of possibly breaking the motor, just checked myself... there is no way to manually crank it even if you try to move it the motor prevents it from being turned as all the mechanics of it are all built in... so the crank would just be wasted and run the risk of getting lost
