I thought about the first pictures shown of the centuryboxes.

Imaging that collectors in the future see this. Then they probably think that the old molds from the angry and spy also were sold in 2011???

We know that it was never sold this year.

I think this is a good example from today how Schleich display smurfs for pictures a couple of months before selling them and that the smurfs pictured are not necessarily the ones being sold on the release date.

Maybe I'm a bit daft but what is the difference?

I can see that the Angry smurf has his arms drooping downwards as opposed to going upwards but what is the difference in the Spy smurf?

The angry is really a completely different mold....the box on the picture shows the smaller older mold..but the one in real box is the large mold

These are not the smurfs that came with the box, but should show the different molds

The spy smurf sold in the centuryboxes is the heringmold. Very different from the old spymold.

And that was the best surprice with the centuryboxes since that mold only had been made by Hering for Schleich before. That was a very strong proof that Hering smurfs were licensed smurfs made by Hering for Schleich in Brazil. Also the fact that Schleich writes in its book that they had smurfs made in southamerica confirms that those smurfs are, like W Berrie, genuine Schleichsmurfs.

But what is the difference between the Hering mold & the regular Schleich mold?

I couldn't see an obvious difference between my old Spy & the one in the box when I compared them

I must be missing something...

The spy-mold Hering used is larger. This mold was only used in southamerica.

The smaller mold was used to 1986 in Germany.
