Your opinion about 2 long antenna CB smurf

Hi,
these are my long antenna smurfs.
In my opinion the one on the left is a Minimodel one (tail), the other is Spanish.
Someone knows if a Schleich/Bully has ever really been made?

Hi Max,

Nice fakes!! :D

I am pretty sure Schleich never made any CB Radio looking like that. Bully certainly never made it since they stopped before this mold was made. :D

The first variation of the CB Radio is the one with the long antenna. It was first sold in the 1982 catalogue. This was also the first year Schleich started with Tunesiapainted smurfs. So the green dots starts from this year.

Probably the fakes were made in the beginning when this variation still was sold??? :-? :-D

Thanks Andrè for your precise analysis! :D
Listen, what is your opinion about the long antenna CB smurf shown on Bern's catalogue? A Spanish one like mine? :-?

I think there are better experts on fakes on this forum like Lia and Frank! :D But Schleich or Bully never (except in the beginning of both companies smurfhistory) made any unmarked smurfs, as far as I know. Off course there could be testvariations shown on poster or catalogues in the beginning of each "smurfmold-era", but of these testversions or prototypes we can only guess and then also it is very hard to say if they are fakes or prototypes many times. :-?

So for me ( so far  ) all CB Radio smurfs with long antenna looking like the ones on your picture are fakes. But off course very nice looking fakes!! :-D

And I also consider the unmarked Minimodels as unlicensed or fakes. Minimodels made licensed smurfs for Schleich, but I am pretty sure Schleich would never have let they sell unmarked smurfs, so therefore I see the unmarked ones as fakes. :D But many times very nice fakes, like many of the CNT´s, PVC no Toxico etc.

Hi Max

Great finds !!!!! :D
Someone told me before that the one from Bully / Schleich doesn't have any markings.

And like Lia wrote, the only Spanish i know is the red / orange one.
But i am no expert Andre :-D

One thing I noticed when looking at the pictures under their feets and the back, are that they seems to come from the same mold??? See arrows on picture. Also look at the mark on the front of their feets on the first picture by Max.

So I would guess they come from the same faker and are just painted different to make different variations?? :-? :D Not so hard to paint it to look like a minimodel with the tail??? That is only my opinion though! Or both are fakes from Argentina?? What are the chances of getting two different moldmarks in two different molds on the exact same places and looking exactly the same??? :o

And I still think that unmarked smurfs looking like these ones were never made by Schleich?? :-? And if they are from Schleich then why would they paint two different looking unmarked variations??? At least for me that seems very very unlikely? Why would Schleich paint it to look like a minimodel??? To me these are fakes, either from Argentina or anywhere else. Have no idea where they can be from??? They seems nice looking fakes though!!

No, the molds and the PVC are different...
It's not only a matter of painting. :) :) :)

Thanks Max! :D

What are the differences in the molds? The PVC could be different even using the same mold? Could have been made years apart in the same mold??? :-? Can you take a closeuppicture of the moldmarks on the front of their right feets??

Here is a picture of the first variations of the smurfs Schleich sold in Germany 1982. CB-Radio, Mermaid and Surfer were made of blue material. :D

Hi,
I think that the best thing, often, is looking at injection points.
These are totaly different on the 2 smurfs.
:-D

Hi

Here is another minimodel.
It's the same with the funny halfpainted tail.

Don't really know the other one on the picture that Max shows.
Both are very hard to find.
