Hi,

when I was lokking for pictures of the prijon-kajak smurf I noticed that they still sell them. They say exclusive for prijon.

http://www.prijon.com/produkte/ausruest ... lumpf.html

Also the company Gatz, who makes canoes, is selling the indian in canoe. Maybe we will be able to get that with addressmarking later if they continue??? :-? :D

But you can buy them together on other sites?? :D

I knew about the prijon Kajak and got one of them..but did not know about the Gatz one. I wonder if there will be a way to distinguish it from the other "normal" ones :-?

I think with the Prijon only the markings are different, isn't it? (I know there is no promotional name on it)

That is correct Frank! :D

But I am not sure if Schleich sold it before in the shops. If they did it must have been for a very very short time, since the circularlogo was introduced in the 1999 catalogue. But these boxes Schleich started to make in 1998 so it is a small chance that they managed to sell a few of them. The kayak was removed from the catalogue in 1999, so last time sold in 1998.

I don´t think the Gatz-canoe is marked with Gatz, in that case maybe on a bag or similair. Not on the smurf. I assume we would have seen one if that is the case, since this one also has been sold since around 2007, maybe earlier??

I forgot earlier is not possible since the indian set was made in 2007.

Then I am sure Gatz or had them from the beginning when they were sold around 2007/2008, since I know I saw both of them in 2009 and then they have had them for a while.

But these don´t say exclusive since they then were sold in the toystores also. :D :-?

That is a shame about the Indian as it would be cool to have it with different markings.

I have 2 of the Prijon smurfs. the older one has a blue dot but the slightly newer does not. I think they are both 'made in china' if I remember rightly.

I discovered them by chance whilst searching the internet & bought them in the Globetrotter store here in Frankfurt.

Hi Lilou

Sorry i wouldn't know.
I left my box closed.
But from previous topics i learned that there should be Made in China on it.

yes Lilou,

The prijon is marked made in china. I don´t think any other kajak smurf was ever marked that, when schleich sold them in the stores. :D

There is no mention at all either on the box or on the canoe / smurf that it was made for prijon.

I can't tell what markings they have at the moment as I am not at home at the moment. They are definitely made of the new pvc (i.e. made after the smurf was officially sold in the shops & later withdrawn from the Schleich range) as the older of the 2 has a blue dot which was used to identify the new pvc formula at the beginning. Both of the ones that I have were made in China. If I remember I'll take a look at mine tomorrow & post what markings they have.

Actually, Dyar has them on his website as I gave them to him when he came to visit me so you should be able to see the markings there.

Just had a look, they're at the bottom of his first promo page.
