Here is why I think the information given in the Bully museum catalogue is wrong!!

Also be aware about the information about the markings, molds ect. then you also see that those are in logic order. Same thing with the articlenumbers. The Bully articlenumbers are given in the EXACT order as they are sold according to the posters, markings, molds etc.

Just like W Berrie in the US did. When releasing a new smurf they gave it a new articlenumber. Just read the W berrie catalogues!! Same with Schleich. The articlenumbers are given in the exact order they were sold. Though Schleich had to jump in the articlenumber serie because they reached numbers they already used.

This is the information given to us by the company Bully in 1974.

They had these smurfs for sale then. Numbered 1010/01-1010/17.

They are also pictured in the catalogue and as you see they are the old molds, which you sometimes also gets without markings or with only peyo marking. These early ones are also the only ones you can find with these markingvariations.

In 1975 Bully gives us this information.

They started selling all the old Schleichmolds also, together with the ones shown on the picture from 1974. This is also written in the Schleichbook from last year.

So basicly confirmed by both Bully and Schleich.

Also these are the ONLY smurfs with removed Schleichemblem!! :D  AND all of them got the emblem removed!! :D

This is the information Bully gives us in 1976.

This year they added the handstand, cushion, present, axe and traveller. They were given the articlenumbers 1010/18-1010/22.

All these got the handetched marking. This was the first marking used on these. No earlier marking can be found on these.

On the backside Bully also gives us the information about the other figurines they made then. And the markings on these also follows the same pattern with markings.

Also you can see that Bully also this year sold the old Schleichsmurfs.

Schleich also confirms this in their book, when they write that they were not allowed to manufacture smurfs anymore when Bully had the license. So these had to be made by Bully??? :-?

Bully gives us this information in 1977.

They addded 3 new smurfs. Also these in articlenumber order. Painter, jester and Skier. With numbers 1010/23- 1010/25. Also this year as shown in the Museum catalogue some new Schleichsmurfs were added. I believe also Gardener could have been added before Schleich stopped working with Bully in 1978.

Bully gives us this information in 1978.

This year they don´t sell the Schleichmolds anymore. This is because this year Schleich have these again and starts to sell smurfs in for example UK.

these are given articlenumbers 1010/26-1010/36.

Notice also that Bully had to give Astro and Smurfette new articlenumbers this year. This was because they had to give the molds back to schleich and then stopped with those articlenumberserie used for the Schleichmolds. But since they had made own variations of astro and Smurfette in around 1976 when they used the handetched markings, they added them last in the articlenumber serie.

During this year this marking was added to the smurfs. No earlier markingvariation is to be found on these smurfs.

Note that all the time the articlenumbers and the markings goes hand in hand. :-D

In early 1979 they sold Angler, archer, pupil, pirate and Scot.

I only have these shown on a recordcover from 1979.

They got articlenumber 1010/37-1010/41.

They had this marking. No earlier markingvariation have been seen on any of these smurfs.

1010/42-1010/49 were used by Bully for these smurfs.

And also these got this marking. No earlier marking is possible to find on any of these smurfs.

In december 1979 just before Schleich became worldwide manufacturer Bully gave us this information about their latest smurfs.

They had the same markingvariation as the ones sold in summer 1979. Also on these no earlier variation is possible on these.

Bully gave them articlenumbers 1010/50-1010/57.
